Bridal Suites – Shadow Creek Weddings

Shadow Creek Weddings

Some of my favorite photos from a wedding day are the details and the bride’s getting ready photos. I arrive early and try to dedicate an entire hour just for styling and taking amazing photos of the bride and groom’s details. I feel that every detail, no matter how seemingly small, has had a great deal of thought and care put into it. So it’s my mission to capture the big events as well as these small details for my brides. I also love the getting ready photos, the groom putting his cufflinks on, the bridesmaids buttoning the back of the dress… such tender, quiet moments speak volumes and I love that!

One of the biggest things that interferes with creating a warm and intimate environment is trying to capture these moments in a not-so-pretty location. Hotel rooms tend to be small, cramped, and always get really warm. The brides are usually stressed partly because of the mess that’s around and then they try to get into their dress in the middle of all of that. You can see how these things distract from the significance of that moment.

Bridal suites are not usually high on the “venue checklist” simply because they are overlooked. But I’m here to remind brides that it is definitely something to consider and inquire about when shopping for their venue. Besides having a beautiful backdrop for your photos, what bride wouldn’t want to have her ENTIRE wedding day beautiful… why should the hours leading up to the ceremony be dismissed? I think every bride deserves a beautiful day from the moment she puts on her hair and makeup until the moment she and her husband depart from their reception.
