For Labor Day Lee and I…

…met up with his parents to go to the Udvar-Hazey museum. It is something we have all wanted to do, and we finally decided to go! We had fun looking at all of the planes that we parked inside and gawked at the ones suspended from the ceiling! Dad and Lee were familiar with several of the exhibits and gave mom and I more information than the little placards provided. One of the highlights for me was seeing the Discovery space shuttle. It was sad to see it in a museum and not up in the sky. It is baffling to think that all of our space shuttles are out of commission. It is one of those American legacies that I thought would never end. It was a treat to be able to see the Discovery that close. Of course I took my camera and I had fun capturing photos of the day.
