31 Bits

I recently learned about an awesome company that was founded after a girl named Kallie took a trip to Northern Uganda. While she was there she met several women who made paper beads. She realized that she could help these women by marketing and selling their creations, and so 31 Bits was born! Kallie’s story is awesome and the jewelry is beautiful! I typically don’t mind spending a little extra when I know the money is going to a good cause, but I must say that their jewelry is actually very affordable. Because of 31 Bits, these women in Uganda are able to be independent, provide for their families, get an education, and the list goes on and on. They started out with six women and they are now working with 99! Isn’t that just awesome!? Here are the pictures of the necklace I purchase. I am a proud owner and wearer of my 31 Bits piece! :)
