Personal Project – Second Roll
Well this week I am in California with my hubby! I have prepared a week of blog posts while I am away so that I don’t fall too far behind! This week will feature pictures from my ongoing personal project of shooting film. A while back I did a blog post of my first roll of film, which was shot on Fuji400HPro. I was content with the way things came out overall, but I know I have a long way to go to be where I want to be (without having to do much post processing). I have done very LIGHT post processing to these film images because I want to document my progress. I could go into Lightroom or Photoshop and get the EXACT look I want, but that is not the point. I want to get it right IN camera! So even though showing these (imperfect) pictures are slightly wounding my eagerness to show you AMAZING, SOOC, film images, I want to be real!
My second roll of film was Kodak’s Porta400. I did take these pictures into Lightroom to do very light editing. I feel that the Porta400 has an overall green-ish cast, and I’m not sure I’m thrilled with it. But I will try and try again before I say no. Give everything a fair chance, right? These pictures are of my beautiful friend Jessica. I’ve been bringing my film camera along to photo shoots to get a little “on-the-spot” practice in between digital shots. I do love these pictures of Jess, but she makes every picture look good! :)
