Film B+W (Pt 2)
So here are some pictures that I took of Tucker and Maizey on film.
Image to the left: As Tucker moved the camera’s AF system decided to focus on the grass and rocks. I was bummed out when the shutter released, but I actually think it came out looking really neat! I also LOVE how the light falls off in the background into the shade.
There is a distinct “dreamy” quality that film creates. It is something that is near impossible to accomplish with digital. And I’m loving it!!!
I’ve been working on reducing contract, increasing exposure, and bringing in more highlights to create pastel colors with my COLOR film. But when working with black and white, it’s time to play with those shadows and contrast! It is a fun and refreshing balance!
There is a little blur and the focus is a little off, a product of the low lighting inside = slower shutter speeds. But I still love these pictures, even if they are imperfect.
