California on Film (Ledson Winery)

Sonoma and Napa were definitely my favorite part of our trip to CA.  I was dying to take the camera out there and capture the grand and rustic beauty of the Valley.  We were only there for a day and a half and I wished we could have stayed longer.  It was awesome getting to walk around a couple of the vineyards and wineries.  The concierge at the Kenwood Inn was very knowledgeable about the area and he gave us a map and some great recommendations!  Our first stop was his favorite!

Ledson Winery looks more like a castle than a winery.  My jaw dropped as we drove up the long driveway.  The building itself was stunning,  not to mention the beautiful gardens and fountain out front!  We stopped to have lunch here.  They have a nice gift shop inside with a small deli.  We got our sandwiches to go and ate outside at a picnic table in the shade.  Oh…  By the way…  The weather was SO nice.  It was hard coming back to this Virginia humidity!

I know some of these images are a little tilted.  But I really wanted to show these images SOOC!  Well…  They are straight from the film.  The folks at RPL are awesome and do some minor touching up (to remove dust spots,  etc).  But I’m very excited with the color and quality that film gives!  I almost always end up having to touch up the white balance of my digital images.  :/
