A Labor & Delivery Session

I don’t usually blog on the weekends,  but since I didn’t have a change to blog yesterday,  I am making up for it this morning!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at David and Kate’s home photographing little baby Jack.  It was wonderful being able to hang out with this new family!  Those images should be on the blog in the coming weeks.

I got the call from Dave at 7:30 Sunday morning.  They had been admitted to the hospital and told me that, “this was it!”  I had been keeping my camera bags packed and ready to go the preview couple of weeks,  and this was the moment I has been preparing for!

I can’t tell you how impressed I was with Kate.  She is a strong young woman and did marvelously!  It was such an honor to be able to share such intimate moments with David and Kate.  That is one of the many blessings of being a photographer.  I am invited to be apart of,  document,  and share,  some of the most intimate and special moments in peoples’ lives.  I love every single moment of it!

I spent the rest of the day at the hospital awaiting for Jack’s arrival.  At 8:33 pm Jack came into this world and changed Kate and Dave’s lives forever.  I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to be apart of this day.
