My Rock | Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

Sometimes I feel like the blog can start to sound like “me, me, me, I, I, I…” But this morning I (see, there it is again, “I”…) wanted to dedicate this post to my husband. He is always there for me, always encouraging, very supportive, being a critical thinker, and giving me much needed constructive criticism. When I have my head in the clouds dreaming about the possibilities of the business, he is my rock, keeping my feet grounded.

From the moment that I wanted my first DSLR camera he has been supportive of my passion. He has always been willing to help me find a way to make things work. Not just monetarily, but also in the day-to-day things. If I’m caught up in editing pictures, writing blog posts, or responding to emails, he will cook dinner for us. He is also very analytical and I often ask him for advice when I’m stuck making a business decision. Sometimes we butt heads and find ourselves deep in debates, often resulting in a stalemate (haha). And even though the “reality checks” sting a little, I’m so thankful that I have him to keep this train on the tracks!

He has always excelled in everything that he does, including marriage. Don’t get me wrong, a successful marriage requires a lot of work, and sometimes we butt heads when it comes to making decisions. Adding a business into the mix can present even more challenges. Being married isn’t all pink hearts, rainbows, and roses. But we are much more successful when we are on the same team. I am so thankful that he is supportive of me and my business. I don’t think I’d be where I am today if he weren’t here to cheer me on!
