Thanksgiving | Warrenton Photographer

There are SO many things to be thankful for.

I have been working my little bottom off for the business’ relaunch this coming January.  The tasks associated with the rebranding ontop of my (thankfully) busy schedule has reminded me of all of the things I have to be thankful for.  I am SO thankful that my business has been a success over the past year and that it continues to grow.  I am thankful for the opportunities that this business has allowed me.  I’m very fortunate that photography allows me to take a step inside peoples’ lives,  hear their stories,  their struggles,  and their successes.  I get to know these amazing people and then tell their stories through images.  It is quite amazing when I stop to think about it.  And for that,  I’m SO thankful.

I’m also blessed with an amazing family.  My family has all been so supportive and encouraging of this passion of mine!  I’m also lucky to be a third generation photographer in my family.  I’m so thankful that my parents, my aunt, and my grandfather can all relate as artists and support each other through our challenges and successes.  My mom,  my aunt,  and I all say prayers for each others’ business;  that we would have the opportunity to work with amazing people, and that our businesses would grow and proposer!

I’m also VERY thankful for my family.  I’m fortunate in that I live in the same town as my parents and in-laws.  Even though we all have VERY busy schedules,  it is nice to just be a short drive across town to spend time together.  I’m also SO thankful for my husband Lee.  He has been a huge support for me and my endeavors.  On nights that I can’t get away from the computer he will make dinner and do the dishes.  I can’t imagine trying to “do it all” without him.

I’m also thankful that I live in the greatest country in the world and I’m forever grateful for the members of our military.  It is because of their (and their families’) sacrifices that we are able to live in a country where we have democracy,  free speech,  the freedom to go to church and share the Gospel,  and even the ability to have small businesses among many other privileges.

I am thankful for all of these things and more.  But I am most thankful for the Lord who has blessed me beyond belief and who has allowed these things in my life.  It is only through Him that I am anything.  I am thankful for the opportunities,  trials,  and successes that He has given me.  Everything I am and everything I have is His!
