Well…  I have REALLY dropped the ball with blogging the past couple of weeks.  The reason I had no time to blog was because I was preparing for the Winter Styled Shoot and the Last Wedding of the Year (to be on the blog soon)!

This all started because I wrote a post on a local photography FB networking page.  I wanted to go to a styled shoot during the “off season” to get some pictures that I wanted to get for my new website,  blog,  etc.  But when I asked what Styled Shoots were coming up,  no one knew of any!  I was bummed,  and then Abby Grace responded with,   “you should plan one!”  ….ha!  she’s crazy!  So I just laughed and let it go.  But the next morning I woke up and thought,  “Why don’t I plan a Styled Shoot?!”  And here you have it!

Planning a Styled Shoot takes a LOT of work (I’ve already gotten a lot of questions about how to plan a Styled Shoot, so I’m sure there will be another blog post about this. Especially as I start to plan a Wedding Styled Shoot for the Spring!).  I knew I didn’t want to (nor would I be able to) plan a Wedding Styled Shoot in only a month.  But I wanted portrait pictures anyway,  so the timing was perfect!  I was able to have some WONDERFUL models who were very kind and of course beautiful! They were willing to smile and pose for MANY photographers all afternoon:  Liz,  Brittany,  Katherine,  Sarah & Chase, THANK YOU!  We also had some generous sponsors who donated amazing gifts to the attending photographers: PPA,  The Law Tog (Rachel Brenke),  and ProDPI!!!  I was also blessed with being able to work with other local vendors who really made my Styled Shoot idea come to life: Crave! Event Rentals,  Enlightened Styles,  Holly Chapple Flowers,  and The Inn at Vint Hill!

We all had a blast taking pictures and socializing networking! ;)  Here are my favorite digital images. I’m still waiting on the film scans to come in… Those will be posted as soon as I get them!  Stay tuned….
