Why Boudoir?

-Virginia Boudoir Photography-

Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful (up from 2% in 2004)
Only 11% of girls globally are comfortable using the word beautiful to describe themselves
72% of girls feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful
80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful but do not see their own beauty
More than half (54%) of women globally agree that when it comes to how they look, they are their own worst beauty critic

These statics are crazy. I want to do boudoir photography for the same reason that I want to do beauty sessions… I want to empower women and make them see how beautiful they truly are!

Today’s society puts so much pressure on women to look like those heavily Photoshopped models in the magazines! Those pictures are not realistic and so it’s crazy for society to expect women to look this way. I believe that every woman has natural beauty, but sometimes we just need help recognizing it. I work closely with a hair and makeup stylist that knows exactly how to accentuate each woman’s natural and beautiful features. Then it’s time to let go of inhibitions and have fun! You are beautiful and this is a way to celebrate it.

Classy Virginia Boudoir Photography

Weather it’s a gift for yourself or your spouse, I believe that boudoir can be done very tastefully and conservatively. I am very selective about the clients that I choose to work with and I also assist my clients with wardrobe and styling to create beautiful and classy images.

As a professional photographer I have the tools to change someone’s appearance. Do I? Never (ever). I am not opposed to editing things like blemishes from someone’s complexion because those things are temporary and don’t make up who you are. Were you born with that freckle? Guess what? It will be with you the rest of your life… It’s staying! Don’t like those “smile lines?” Luckily film makes everyone’s skin look creamy and soft, but those “softened fine lines” are staying too. It’s who you are and we are going to celebrate you and all of your wonderful features.

The idea behind beauty and boudoir with Kristen Lynne Photography is not to change who you are, it’s to celebrate who you are.

My team and I will get you looking and feeling your best and I will help guide you through flattering poses for your images. But when I show you your final images I get the privilege of saying, “That’s ALL you, girl!” The idea behind beauty and boudoir sessions with Kristen Lynne Photograph is not to change who you are, it’s to celebrate who you are.
