It is always a whirlwind of emotions when a wedding or photo shoot is featured! First I’m elated for the couple, I’m humbled that a popular wedding blog like Style Me Pretty likes my photos enough to feature them, and I feel incredibly honored and blessed.

I knew before Sarah even had her initial consultation with me that her wedding would be featured somewhere! I knew because I’ve known Sarah for a long time. She is a very stylish young lady with excellent taste and a flair for all things southern. She is very detail oriented and is very artistic and has an eye for design. So I knew going into her wedding that it would be a lovely event. And I was right! I got so excited at her initial consultation. She brought her wedding planning binder filled with pretty magazine articles she had saved. I loved it all! We were both like giggly middle-school girls dreaming about the perfect “one-day” wedding as we flipped through her binder.

But what I think Sarah’s wedding was so special because it was perfectly understated. Sarah and Chase are both very down-t0-earth people. On their wedding day I felt like I was being welcomed into their home to celebrate and dine with their family and closest friends. It was a very elegant and intimate affair. The southern styling (all of the calligraphy was done by Sarah!) was so perfect for this warm, family celebration. And on top of it all, we had the warmest day in December! They weather was fantastic for their bride & groom portraits!
