This is a photo that I took before Courtney’s maternity session. I arrived on location a little earlier than I planned so I decided to walk around and shoot a roll of film before she arrived. It was nice to just be able to walk around and take photos of the beautiful scenery and flowers that were still in bloom. I’ve always loved the combination of red berries and green leaves. There is something inherently “Christmasy” about it. I usually end up taking pictures of plants like these every winter because, let’s face it, it’s the only color left around in January when the snow hits! So it was nice (for a change) to get a picture of one of my favorite plants without having my nose being frost bitten!
