What to Wear – Huntsville Maternity Portraits

One of my favorite types of beauty sessions to photograph are maternity sessions. I just think there is something to amazing about a mother-to-be and how happy they are. It is so much fun to be able to pamper them a little bit with professional hair & makeup, get them dressed up and feeling beautiful, and creating timeless photographs.

One of the things that I feel makes a big impact on the “feel” of the photos is wardrobe. I love to find pieces that are long, flowy, neutral, and simply elegant. Dresses that have these qualities really show off the natural beauty of an expecting mother, and in general, they just have a feminine look.

This is a dress that I purchased for the studio so that my clients would have access to it. I have started a small collection of dresses and garments, but this is one of my most favorite pieces. This dress is by Rick Owens and it has a fantastic weight to it and it lays beautifully when worn!
