Choosing the perfect wedding dress is something that many of us have dreamed of for years. For others, this is a daunting task where one may not even know where to begin. Either way, these tips from one of our Bridal Consultants at Bella Rosa Bridal will be sure to help make this experience a little easier.

To begin with, narrow down your Pinterest board! We all fall into the trap of pinning the thousands of beautiful gowns that are out there. But by the time someone is ready to try on dresses, their board can show everything from fitted silhouettes to ball gowns, sexy to Kate Middleton. So before looking at gowns, look at your board and ask yourself:

How do I really want to look?

How do I want to be represented in pictures (even twenty years from now)?

What style would I feel most comfortable in?

Once you have narrowed this down, make your appointment! We always encourage appointments because it guarantees you have a consultant solely focused on you and your needs. This consultant will listen to you, look at your pictures, and sometimes interpret the vision that may not even be clear to you yet.

Be open to the fact that what you think you want, may not be what you fall in love with. Sometimes, as a consultant, we pull dresses that are a bit different than what you may expect. Often, this ends up becoming the dress. We then watch our beautiful brides struggle with liking something different than they originally anticipated. This is okay! So be open and listen to your heart.

Finally, when you find the right dress….look no further. This is such an exciting experience and we all love to try on these beautiful gowns!
