Editorial Portraits for Photographers & Wedding Creatives
I love photographing other photographers and wedding creatives! I’ve always thought it’s a good idea to step into our clients’ shoes to remember what it feels like being in front of a camera. It’s also a great idea to have photos on your “about” page of your website to provide a more personal experience from the first moment of contact (usually online). Think of it like a regular portrait session, but we incorporate the key items that tell us who you are. If you’re a photographer, that is likely your camera, some rolls of film, etc. If you’re a wedding planner/stylist you likely have a tidy calendar, stacks of beautiful plates, tons of ribbon. I think you get the idea! :)
The editorial portraits provide a less formal and stiff way of taking head shots. When I hear head shots my mind automatically pulls up a dull gray background and skirt suits. Not quite what today’s wedding creatives have in mind. I want the editorial portraits to provide a window into your world. So you clients can recognize you and get a sense of your personality without even meeting you yet! Plus, it’s great to have a professional quality portrait (no matter how causal the portraits are) that jives with your branding.
