Aden & Steve’s Hunt Country Wedding at The Goodstone Inn was simply gorgeous! Aden was kind enough to give me an interview of her wedding experience. I hope you enjoy these wonderful insights, especially if you’re a bride in the midst of planning your own wedding!

Q: When was your wedding?

A: May 16, 2015

Q: Where did your wedding ceremony & reception take place?

A: Goodstone Inn & Restaurant in Middleburg, VA. The ceremony took place in the Woodsy Garden and the reception was hosted in the Carriage House.

Q: How many people attended your wedding?

A: 50

Q: How much time did you have to plan your wedding?

A: 6 months

Q: Did you have help with the wedding planning? If so, explain.

A: The Goodstone Inn referred us to Becky Armstrong from Middleburg Events Studio to help us throughout the wedding planning process. We couldn’t have done it without her.

Q: Where did you get your inspiration from for your décor and theme?

A: I grew up riding and competing horses. It was a no brainer to incorporate the rustic feel of the countryside and horses into the wedding.

Q: What was one of the most memorable moments from your wedding?

A: Walking down aisle with my father.

Q: What is your favorite picture from your day?

A: Picture of Steve and I after the wedding walking under pergola area.

Q: What was the biggest challenge on that day?

A: Trying to savor every moment.

Q: If there is one thing that you could have done differently, what would it be?

A: Slowed down to savor the moments and details of the weekend.

Q: What’s the biggest piece of advice you can give to other brides that are planning their wedding?

A: Utilize the help of the people you have hired and who are part of your wedding. It will sometimes seem like it won’t all get done, but it will. Also, savor the moments and details the day of…. Slow down. It will go by so fast.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with other brides?

A: The day is about you and your husband. Remember that. I also cannot say enough about photography and videography. Moments we would have missed were captured and we are able to relieve them.
