I grew up with…
…with at least one dog around the house. My parents had Sam, a black cocker spaniel, before they had me! Sam, or “Sam Bones” passed away when we moved to Virginia. Not too long after that we came home from a trip to North Carolina with two new pups, Bailey a white and cream cocker spaniel, and Zoe, a black mini schnauzer. Lucy came on the scene when Bailey and Zoe were about 9 years old. Lucy keeps them on their toes! After I got married and moved in with my husband I realized how much I missed living with a dog in the house! The house was too quiet, without the sound of dog paws on the hardwood floors, or no furry friend to snuggle up with on the couch. So we drove half way to West Virginia to bring Tucker, our golden retriever, home! He is now a year and half and such a great dog! I love taking photos of these hound dogs.
Our Tucker! He earned his name because when we was a puppy he would play hard and play long, and then fall into a deep sleep. We found ourselves saying, “Oh, he’s tuckered out again!” and the name stuck.
