I am starting a new journal series called “what to wear.” I have been asked for advice on what to wear for photo sessions. Truth told, it is entirely up to you and what you want the feel of your photo session to be. For example, engagement sessions can be very casual or formal.

 Think of a more formal engagement session… Walking downtown along the sidewalk, stopping to dine at your favorite outdoor cafe! This is a perfect time to pull out one of your favorite dresses and a lovely necklace! 

 Now think of a casual engagement session… The location might be out in a field full of tall golden grasses catching the sunlight. Or you can be at a lake hanging out on a canoe! A cute pair of shorts and a print top are great for this feel! And just because it is raining doesn’t mean you have to reschedule your session! Taking photos in the rain can be a LOT of fun. :)
