Film Friday | Wedding Details | Charlottesville Film Wedding Photographer
There are a few parts of the wedding day that are my favorites. Every wedding photographer has them, and it’s very likely that every photographer has different favorites. One of mine is shooting the details on a wedding day. There is something I really enjoy about making the brides (and groom’s) details come together in a stylish way for a photograph. And believe it or not, it’s a challenge!!! It’s amazing how much thought, planning, and hard work goes into a seemingly effortless photograph; but that’s the goal for me. I want to make the detail shots look exquisite and effortless. This takes time, so I set aside about an hour during the wedding day to focus on the detail shots. I generally like to also find a quiet location off to the side of the wedding hustle and bustle so that I’m really able to give it my full attention. I know my clients put a lot of thought (and money) into their details, and so I don’t want them to go unnoticed! And as a plus, detail shots really help to pull a wedding album together. A lot of times the details such as invitations, jewelry, bridesmaids dresses, reception decor, flowers, etc. fit the theme of the wedding. It’s a great way to bring a wedding album to life with colors as the wedding album tells the story of the day.
