Thankful
There are so many things to be thankful for!
I knew going into it that it wouldn’t be easy. Starting a business would require sacrifices and lots (and lots) of hard work. But despite the immense effort it takes to get a business up and running, I’m so thankful that I have this opportunity. I’m still working hard at it and will always do so. I’m so thankful that I’ve had amazing clients to work with and that I’m starting to see the reward for all of this effort!
I have an awesome family and an amazing husband who is supportive of my decisions! I’m lucky to have family live close by. And I’m thankful that I share a love of photography with my parents. Who better than to talk shop with, pose questions to, and get opinions and advice from? And I can’t say enough how great Lee is. He’s always so supportive and actually cares about the business and is willing to help me navigate through this journey! I’m also thankful for the many amazing friends that I’ve made since starting the business. I’ve made lifelong friendships with some amazingly talented and inspiring people and I’m so blessed to have them in my life!
I’m also thankful for our home. Over the past year we’ve been looking online to see what homes are on the market in our area. We aren’t in any hurry to move, but we both agree that it would be nice to have a little more room. One of my big goals/dreams is to have a studio and office building on our property one day. So it can be fun (and frustrating) planning ahead for things like this. It’s fun to dream but sometimes it feels like it is so far away… but then I stop and think about how blessed we are to have our own home. A roof over our head! What do I have to complain about?! Even the smallest things, like a working washer and dryer! After our dryer died this summer I was SOOO thankful to find an affordable working set. Now every time I do laundry I say a little prayer of thanks. Yes, I’m thankful that I can do the laundry!
All of these things, big and small… There are just so many things to be thankful for.
