One of my good photography friends, Matoli Keely Photography, and I have decided to put our heads together and teach other photographers about something we are very passionate about; film. If you follow my blog posts at all I’m sure you’re already picked up on the fact that I love film (I mean, every Friday on the blog is “Film Friday” haha). Matoli and I have gotten a lot of questions from other photographers about shooting film. So we decided to go all out for you guys and host a film workshop! We are going to cover all of the basics of shooting film. Everything from the different film stocks we love to use, the types of cameras we recommend, how to load the film, where we like to get our film processed, and so much more!

We’re also working with Alex Meyer Events and so many amazing vendors (Sareh Nouri, Violet Gardens Floral Design, Jordan K Winn & Co., and more!) to put on a lovely styled shoot. We want all of our attendees to be able to put into practice what they’ve learned. Our goal is for everyone to leave our workshop with a great start to their film adventure! Of course film cameras are not required, but are strongly suggested. 35mm is a great format to start with and there are some GREAT deals out there right now that will get you started!
