On of the things that I absolutely love to photograph on a wedding day are the details. Details include: rings, perfume/cologne, jewelry, cufflinks, ties, shoes, garters, dresses, watches, flowers (boutonnieres and bouquets), invitation suites, menus, reception tables, cakes/desserts, head table, programs… and the list goes on…

I find that most photographers either love to shoot details, or they loath it. Personally, it’s one of my favorites parts of the day (right behind the first look and the ceremony). I always try to get a lot of detail shots not only because I really enjoy it but also because it helps to tie everything together for a wedding album. Plus, I know my brides and grooms put a lot of thought and effort into those small details and I want to capture it for them in the best way possible.

All of these little details help to tell the story of a wedding day and I enjoy photographing them so much! Here is a collection of some of my favorite ring shots from this past year. Some were taken at weddings and some were taken at engagement shoots.
