Personal Project – Lake Anna on Film
Lee’s aunt and uncle have a beautiful lake house at Lake Anna. For the past couple of years they have had us down to hang out for a weekend! It is always so relaxing to go down there for a visit. There is something so peaceful about being near the water. For this trip I decided to ONLY bring my film camera and leave the digital cameras behind. I wanted to force myself to practice without the safety net of my digital cameras. I found it to be really nice actually. I ALMOST got the hang of not looking down for an LCD screen for image reviews. And that in itself was sort-of freeing and relaxing. It was nice to be able to take my time and digest everything that I was doing while I was setting up the exposure. I think I might actually have more fun shooting film than digital.
Lee and I like to stop by “Moo Thru” every time we go to Lake Anna. :) Always a yummy treat!
The boat rides are always my favorite “activity” and I think everyone else likes it too. Rene looks like a big kid! Having a blast!
Kristen Gardner - These are just lovely, Kristen! I adore the color of film images. They’re just so dreamy!
