California on Film (Carmel Mission)
The reason that we went to California is because Lee had a conference in San Jose that lasted three days. So during those three days I took the rental car and explored the area until it was time to meet up for dinner. One of those days I drove down to Carmel. As I was driving away from the downtown area I drove past the Mission. I HAD to turn around and check it out. I’m glad that I did because it was amazing! I paid the entrance fee to take a self-guided tour. I took my time wandering around in the Mission’s courtyards and gardens. It was a perfect opportunity to break out my rental camera and get some neat pictures. I hope you enjoy the Carmel Mission as much as I did!
These images were taken with a Mamiya 645AF & 80mm F/2. The film was Fuji400 ProH. You might see an “opps” here or there in some of the pictures. All of these images are SOOC and the only adjustment I made was regarding the orientation (If I took a veritcal shot). I am impressed with how little (in this case, NONE) editing that is necessary with film. It is SO much more forgiving.
