One of the things I am blessed by is that my business has allowed me to connect with old friends.  I can’t say enough how awesome it is to reconnect with friends and then be asked to document one of the biggest days of their lives!  It is such a blessing and honor!

I remember the morning that Violeta and I met up at the Thyme Market in Culpepper.  It had been years since we had seen each other in high school and  I was really excited to catch up and talk about her wedding plans!  I think we spent a couple hours talking over coffee and blueberry scones!  Then she told me the story of how she and Chris started dating and I loved every detail of it!  It reminded me so much of mine and Lee’s story about falling in love with our high school sweetheart.  It was like a love story from a screenplay;  so perfect with a happy ending!  Except their story is just beginning!  I was honored and soooo excited when Violeta brought me on board as one of her wedding vendors and I am really looking forward to photographing these two on their wedding day!

After being rained out awhile back we rescheduled Chris and Violeta’s engagement shoot.  This past Sunday evening I met up with them at a local park where we walked around and took pictures.  The weather was SO perfect and the sunlight was gorgeous!  We wrapped up the pictures at the park and then headed over to the high school stadium to take a few more pictures before the sun slipped under the horizon (those pictures will be on the blog tomorrow!).

I truly had a blast photographing these two.  It is so apparent that these two are soul mates.  They were both so relaxed and just enjoying their time together in front of the camera.  Violeta is such a cheerful and kind person,  always smiling and laughing,  and Chris was so great at making her smile and laugh!  They both light up when they are with each other.  It was so much fun to capture the connection between these two people.
