Zeke + Gabe Might Men | Warrenton Family Photographer
This past trip to Blacksburg we stayed with Cary, Amy, and their twins. I just love these boys to pieces. They are little miracles. I will never forget when we went to Dulles Airport to welcome Gabe and Zeke to the US. They were adopted from an orphanage in Ethiopia. I admire Cary and Amy for their dedication of following God’s calling for their family.
The boys have grown so much since the last time we saw them. Lee and I had a blast playing with them, feeding them, helping Cary and Amy read bedtime stories… They are at such a great age right now. They watch everything you do and try to imitate as best they can. They were eager to demonstrate the animal noises they know! Cary even taught them, “what does the fox say?” When Cary asked the boys that question there was a string of high-pitched, interrupted, howling noises that came out of two tiny mouths! Lee and I had no idea what this was all about until Cary showed us the hilarious video on youtube. Needless to say, that became our favorite animal sound quiz for the boys. :)
Saturday afternoon we headed out to a local farm where they had a pumpkin patch and petting zoo. They boys had a lot of fun walking around, looking at the animals, and playing with the pumpkins. We had such a great time playing with the boys that afternoon.
The boys LOVED doing this! When Lee and I did it with Zeke he didn’t want us to stop, so he made his legs like spaghetti noodles so we would HAVE to swing him! Haha.
Cary and Amy are SUCH great parents. They have started teaching the boys sign language to help communicate what they want. This saves a LOT of headaches until the boys start to talk!
These pictures of Lee and Gabe always make me laugh. They were waiting for Cary and Pete to come out of the corn Maze. I think Lee was teaching Gabe marko-polo. Then of course the huge smile on Gabe’s face was when Cary appeared!
Zeke spends much of his time observing the world around him. He is such a sweetheart, and he knows it! Rarely does he have to get up to get anything. Someone usually spots him eyeing a toy across the room, then when you ask him if he wants it he looks at you with the biggest, sweetest eyes and shakes his head yes. Ah! Who could resist!
Gabe started to like the camera and totally ran up to me while I was trying to be “stealthy.” Haha.
I think Zeke was a little frustrated because he couldn’t throw the pumpkin down, lol.
There were also some activities for the adults… like pumpkin slingshots and whatnot. :)
I love these pictures. They boys thought this was just the greatest thing!
