One of the (very few) downsides to shooting film is that it takes some time to get the photos back from the lab. But I can’t help posting a couple of digital “sneak peeks” of the weddings!

This past Saturday I was honored to capture Julia & Brendan’s wedding at Riverside on the Potomac. On my five out to the venue it was pouring rain! I knew what was going through Julia’s mind all morning and I felt for her. But I just kept saying small prayers throughout the morning that the weather would clear out for the wedding. The rain stopped just as I was starting to shoot details inside, and wouldn’t you know that the clouds broke and the sun came out just minutes before the ceremony started!? How about THAT for a wedding day present? I’m not sure who was more excited me or Julia, haha.

The rest of the evening was absolutely fabulous. It might have been the best weather we’ve had in months. Such pretty light for their evening portraits and cocktail hour. I can’t wait to share more from their day. Waiting for film to come back from the lab is like waiting for Christmas!!!
