Wow, what an awesome start to 2015!
Let me back up a little bit… This past fall I had the opportunity to work with a whole team of incredible vendors to create an amazing inspiration shoot. It seemed like it was just yesterday when I was sitting on the porch with Alex, from Alex Meyer Events, discussing the plans and visions we had for the shoot. The topic of publication came up… where did we want to submit it too? I must give Alex credit because she is the one who suggested Weddings Unveiled. I immediately told her that it might be a bit of a long shot, because they are such an amazing publication, but that I’d be more than happy to submit to them. And to be perfectly honest, I was nervous about submitting. I thought they’d look at the submission and go, “Kristen who?” But thanks to Alex, for having the faith in us, and for designing a killer inspiration shoot, our submission was accepting.
I think I read that email five times to make sure I wasn’t loosing it. Haha. Really? Would this be my first printed feature?! I was so happy and humbled all at the same time. It was a dream to be featured in one of my favorite wedding publications. And if you read my blog post about my 2014 goals… getting published in print was one of the goals I thought I’d fallen short on. But that email came JUST in time. I’m so thankful to all of the wonderful people that not only made the shoot happen, but they made it stellar.
