Mentoring for Photographers

So many great photographers I’ve learned from… Everything I know about photography is because other photographers have shared their knowledge with me; be it books and blogs that I’ve read, workshops or seminars I’ve attended, online networking groups I’m active in, one-on-one help from other local photographers, photography conferences, college classes, my (photographer) parents… So many people I’ve learned from and I want to return the favor.

I get a lot of questions about photography, especially film photography. But sometimes the answers aren’t so simple. They require in-depth conversations and/or hands-on demonstration and practice. And I don’t always have time to respond with in-depth reposes on Facebook, etc. But I really want to invest in other photographers that are coming up in this generation along with me; especially those that are interested in taking a fine art approach to their work and are interested in shooting film.

This is the reason Matoli and I decided to host a workshop. We were both getting a lot of questions from other photographers about shooting film and how to get started. We’ve had a great response to the For the Love of Film Workshop: An Introduction to Film Photography. We are so excited for this upcoming workshop and all of our guests!

But workshops require a lot of planning and for that reason we can’t do them every month. Also, workshops may not be the best learning environment for all photographers. This is why I really wanted to offer something one-on-one. I’m happy to announce that I will soon be offering three different services for photographers, heart-to-heart consults, one-on-one mentoring, and workshops!

I’m working on the finishing touches to these sweet new offerings, but I’m hoping to start taking appointments by the end of the month! Details will be released on my website and special offers for the first few appointments will be released exclusively in next months newsletter, Nouvelles!
