Just over 5 years ago I have the honor of capturing Rudy & Megan’s gorgeous National Cathedral wedding. I first met them way back when I was attending an inspiration photo session organized by another photographer. Rudy and Megan were one of the couples selected to model for the photos and we hit it off right away! I was smitten with them and how much they cared for each other. I was so incredibly honored (and soooo excited) when they reached out to me about capturing their wedding photos. To say their wedding day was dreamy is an understatement. It. Was. Gorgeous. Megan looked absolutely stunning, Rudy was a very handsome groom, their entire wedding party was so kind and fun, meeting their families was awesome, and their reception was a blast. I would photograph this couple on that day over and over again. #dreamjob

Since moving to the Huntsville area a couple years ago I periodically announce on Instagram when I plan to travel back home to Virginia. This last time I announced a visit to VA, Megan reached out about doing a photo session for her daughter’s 1st birthday. I couldn’t say, “yes” fast enough! Getting to see these two again? Yes please!!! Having the opportunity to meet their (omg adorable) little girl? I’ve died and gone to heaven!

Little P was quite simply the happiest one year old I ever did meet. She was all smiles and giggles for the entire photo session! We had fun playing with pumpkins and getting lost in the apple orchard. It was so fun to see her explore these new things and interact with her (amazing) parents. Also… don’t you just love her outfits!? I mean those socks + shoes, velvet hair bow, cutest dresses… Eep!

It was soooo good to see you again Rudy & Megan! I absolutely loved meeting Little P and capturing these photos for you. I only hope that we have the opportunity to work together again in the future. And happiest of birthdays to your sweet little one! <3
