…to take engagement pictures for my friends Sarah & Chase. Sarah and I used to work together at an adorable shoe boutique. People were always asking us if we were sisters. We’d always exchange looks over that comment because we thought we looked nothing alike. Unfortunately that cute boutique closed its doors, but Sarah and I kept in touch. She and Chase are both entering their last semester at Virginia Tech and have been accepted into VCU’s dental program.

I was ecstatic when I saw that Sarah and Chase were engaged!

They have dated for many years and everyone at the boutique had bets on this couple! We were all right, Sarah and Chase make an awesome pair. Of course I offered (I would’ve begged had it come to it) to do my friend’s engagement photos. We went to Middleburg Saturday evening and met at Market Salamander. Sarah raved about the blue lacquered walls inside, and she was right! It was an awesome backdrop. We spent the rest of our time walking around, stumbling upon places to take photos… In Middleburg that’s like every three steps. :) Sarah is a beautiful girl with a great sense style. I wanted to capture her personality and make this shoot trendy, yet classic and romantic. I can’t say enough how much fun this was and how happy I am for the couple!
